Give your business an edge…
In today’s competitive markets, it is becoming increasingly difficult to fight for consumer dollars. Bars, restaurants, clubs, retail stores, malls, etc. are all looking for that ‘edge’ to make them stand out and become the go to spot; where people will go, stay, spend more, and come back time-and-time again.

Enhancing the GUEST EXPERIENCE
Marketing research has repeatedly confirmed that music in any type of establishment is the most important variable to set mood and create an atmosphere that is indicative of the type of clientèle owners and managers want, and music also plays a vital roll in spending habits of those patrons. If you provide the right customer experience, those customers will return.

DO YOU WANT THE RIGHT MUSIC PLAYED IN YOUR ESTABLISHMENTS? WE CAN HELP.

Introductions And Background…
Let’s start by talking about DJ’s. Looks like an easy job, right? It’s not. Yes, technically speaking, anyone can claim to be a DJ if they have some songs and know how to use the equipment, but if anyone could do it, why are some DJ’s more popular than others? How can some get great reactions from crowds, while others slide through the night without being able to get a party atmosphere going? The truth is 75% of a DJ’s job has nothing to do with the equipment at all.

75% of a DJ’s job is programming. In essence, playing the right songs, in the right order, at the right time. Sound easy? It’s not.

Programming involves reading a crowd, understanding what formats bar/club owners want, music knowledge, balancing requests, understanding the dynamics of music and which songs fit together well, not peaking too early or too late, creating a flow, etc., etc.

Anyone can program, but programming well is a skilled talent. It’s like saying anyone can open a clothing store or manage a bar, but let’s face it, if someone opens a store and has no entrepreneurial skills, or an individual gets a job managing a bar, but doesn’t have people skills, they are facing tough days ahead of them, and ultimately won’t last. The same applies to DJ’s.

Programming Music The Right Way…
On this note, we can discuss our music programming services. It’s no secret that having a great live DJ will boost business, but having a live DJ for every minute that an establishment is open is not cost effective. On the other hand, throwing songs together on a play list, or playing CDs and I pods with no rhyme or reason will not enhance your patrons visit. Programmable Lists are a cost effective way for you to play the right music at the right time.

We do these lists right:
– We want to know your goals. We sit down with management and owners to figure out exactly what goals they have; what new directions they want to take; what they’d like to keep the same; what kind of clientèle do they want, etc. We will take all this information, but also help advise on directions and appropriate musical content for it.
– We extensively research the client’s establishments. We will actually spend time observing patrons right in your establishments, at different times of the day and night. This will help us advise you, and help us create better music lists.
– We research competition. Much like we’d spend time in your establishment, we’d research your competition too. Once again, this will help us advise you and create music programs that will eclipse what they have.
We create lists by committee. These lists are not just done by 1 person. We have a committee of (a minimum of) 4 programmers creating lists for you. 2 heads are better than 1, but a group is even better than 2.
– We only use professional music experts. Our programming staff consists of music industry professionals that include DJ’s, radio announcers and radio station programmers. Any one of our programming staff could make great lists on their own, but we still do it by committee to make the lists as perfect as we can get them.
– We offer variety. Our programming packages include different lists for different days (weekend vs. weekday); different times of day (lunch vs. dinner, vs. late night); and different areas of an establishment (patio vs. bar, vs. restaurant area, vs. lounge areas). We get that specific for you! Different areas of your establishment require different types of music at different times of the day. We can also deliver specific themed lists for special parties, events, or promotions you might have going on.
– We are extremely approachable. We will constantly be in contact with our clients to make sure the lists are working. We can also set up communication methods to get direct feedback from a corporate head office AND for location managers in all the establishments. Creating monthly reports for our clients on specific feedback, possible directions to move towards, and advice on the feedback is part of our way of keeping you informed and connected.
– Flexibility is one of our advantages. We will tweak and manipulate the lists until they are working at maximum capacity for your establishment. We don’t just want input and feedback, we happily act on it too.
– We are discreet. No one has to know that you are using our services. This is the type of secret weapon that establishments don’t want their competition knowing that they’re taking advantage of. We won’t use your company name in public advertising campaigns unless it’s alright with you. will benefit from this.

Advantages…
Why should you do this? Budgets are getting tighter, and it’s getting tougher to find money for extras. On the other hand, you should not jump over dollars to pick up nickels. A great DJ will attract people to come through your doors. They will get people to stay longer and spend more, and most importantly, they will get people to come back. It’s easy to cut down on a DJ when budgets are down, but what is that doing to your bottom line? If you try to save yourself a few hundred dollars on a DJ on a night, your sales might dip by $1000 dollars. Is that worth it? Most would say no. Especially in tough times, people want more for their dollar, not less. They want you to earn their business.

Same applies to the music lists. You will save money because you don’t need to have a live DJ at all times, but still get appropriate, well planned music that will keep your establishment hopping.

Consider this:
– You get peace of mind. The lists will get done. They will also be on time, to your specifications, updated properly, never contain what you don’t want (cursing, specific music genres, etc.), done by musical experts, and be appropriate for your image.
– The lists will keep your staff happy. Happy staff means more sales.
– Consistency. The music will be the same in all your like establishments. This will create a consistent musical brand from location to location, and keep the atmosphere similar.
-Better sales. Playing the right music will increase your sales because consciously and subconsciously patrons will appreciate the flow and vibe that we are creating for them. They will want to spend more time in your establishments, dread the idea of leaving, spend more, and most importantly, they’ll want to come back. This is proven.

The bottom line…
If your sales are decreasing or stagnant, the time is now to step it up a notch. People don’t just notice the music played in stores, bars and restaurants; they are seriously affected by it.

Affect them positively!
